About The Service

Community Response Ltd is a primary alcohol and hepatitis C service, established in 1990, in the Liberties in the South Inner City of Dublin.

Service based on research

We conducted research in 2012 and it demonstrated a clear need for a local service that provided psychological support and interventions, education and peer support. The three top priorities for clients and their families was a specified alcohol service. Alcohol misuse within our local community has been well documented, and our own research supports this. The effects of hazardous drinking on the individual, family, community and society as a whole cannot be underestimated. The devastating effects on physical and mental health, the impact on the family the drain on the health services are on-going.

Not only do we provide alcohol services to service users, but we also provide information and support to those affected by Hepatitis C, or alcohol related hepatitis. We also provide a safe and supportive space for family members with one to one and peer support groups.
