This group is an educational 10 week programme for family members, partners, siblings, friends or anyone affected by addiction in the home. Individual support is can also be explored for those who are unable to attend the group.
Group Day & Time: Thursday 10:30am-12pm
Venue: Community Response, 14 Carmans' Court, Carman's Hall, Dublin 8
We offer a 10 week psychoeducational programme aimed at family members and concerned persons who have been affected by alcohol use in the home. It is designed to assist them in coping with the stresses associated with this and learning skills in order to help mitigate the impact on themselves and their families.
The following are a list of some of the topics covered over the 10 weeks:
- Progression of alcohol use
- Alcohol and the family
- Different ways of reponding
- Co-dependency
- Seeking supports and self care
